If you need a fee waiver, you can request one in writing. The release must primarily benefit the public rather than you personally. You must provide justification for why the public benefits from your access to the records. The city makes this determination based on the content of your request and the stated purpose.

For full criminal history records, the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification charges $20 for a name-based check and $20 for a fingerprint-based check as of July 1, 2025. Taylorsville is about 300 miles north of St. George, so most St. George residents use mail or online channels for BCI requests.
